Julie Erickson is a nationally recognized movement expert, educator, and studio owner with more than 15 years of experience training elite performers, professional athletes, and individuals with complex injuries and medical conditions. She founded Endurance Pilates and Yoga in 2010 with a singular mission: to deliver uncompromising, intelligent, and results-driven movement education rooted in classical principles, modern science, and deep intuition.

Julie holds a BA in English from Tufts University and an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) from Babson College, bringing a rare combination of intellectual rigor, business acumen, and embodied expertise to the wellness industry. She was named Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston® Personal Trainer and continues to be regarded as a leader in high-level Pilates education and corrective movement.

Classical Pilates Lineage & Professional Training

Julie is a 3rd-Generation Authentic Classical Pilates Instructor, apprenticed and certified through some of the most respected lineages in the field. Her classical training includes mentorship under Brooke Siler and Cary Regan at re:Ab Pilates (NYC), MeJo Wiggin’s Classical Syllabus (Greenwich, CT), and advanced training in Romana’s Pilates with Sari Mejia Santo, Daria Pace, and Cynthia Shipley preserving the integrity of Joseph Pilates’ original work.

She is PMA®-CPT certified and holds international comprehensive certifications through STOTT Pilates and Balanced Body, alongside additional advanced apparatus and specialty training. Julie continues her education with NYC-based master classical instructors to remain at the forefront of the discipline.

Julie has trained Broadway and Cirque du Soleil performers, professional NBA, MLB, and NHL athletes, Victoria’s Secret and runway models, and elite dancers in both Boston and New York City.

Clinical, Adaptive & Pro Bono Work

Julie is especially proud of her extensive work with differing abilities and adaptive athletes, including Boston Marathon bombing survivors, amputees, and challenged endurance athletes seeking to return to or elevate performance in running, swimming, and cycling. She has provided this work entirely pro bono, and actively encourages fellow professionals to dedicate time each week to service-based training that meaningfully improves lives.

Her ongoing client work includes individuals with Parkinson’s disease, brain injuries, spinal and spinal cord injuries, ligament disorders, autoimmune conditions, and prenatal and post-partum populations. Julie is known for delivering safe, challenging, and deeply transformative programming—and for the measurable progress her students achieve under her guidance.

An avid endurance athlete, Julie has completed 25 marathons, including the notoriously brutal 2018 Boston Marathon, as well as hundreds of races and an ultra-marathon, many in support of charitable causes. She logs over 2,000 training and racing miles annually while running a successful business, raising a child, and mentoring the next generation of instructors.

She is a RRCA-Certified Running Coach and an NFHS-Certified High School Coach, and finds deep joy in sharing the discipline and freedom of movement with athletes of all ages.

    Media, Education & Leadership

Julie has been featured in Health Magazine, Martha Stewart, Shape, Runner’s World, Glamour, FitSugar, MSN, Metro, The Boston Globe, Boston Common, Boston Magazine, Well+Good, and New Beauty, among others.

She is an Instructor Trainer and Continuing Education Provider for leading national and international certification agencies, including NASM, ACE, and AFAA, and is widely respected for her ability to bridge classical technique, modern biomechanics, and intuitive intelligence.

At the core of Julie’s philosophy is the belief that movement should be intelligent, empowering, challenging—and genuinely enjoyable. She brings this ethos to every session, class, and mentorship opportunity at Endurance Pilates and Yoga.

    Emily Corsaro

    Pilates Teacher

Originally introduced to Pilates in 2018, Emily discovered its transformative power while training as a competitive bodybuilder. With over 11 years of weight training experience and a 5th-place finish in New England’s largest bodybuilding competition, she initially turned to Pilates as a way to enhance recovery, mobility, and performance. What started as a complement to strength training quickly became a passion in its own right.
Now with over 7 years of Pilates practice, Emily combines her deep understanding of body mechanics with a strong commitment to helping others feel stronger, more supported, and better connected to their bodies. Her teaching emphasizes not only strength and performance, but also longevity and injury prevention—ensuring clients can move well now and for years to come.

Working with people at all levels—from beginners to advanced clients—is a core part of Emily’s approach. It’s intentional, thoughtful, and grounded in helping each person build a strong foundation that supports their long-term well-being.
